Extended Bio:

From a young age I have been a veritable bookworm, loving stories of epic adventures as the ultimate form of escapism. I grew up in the suburbs with pet chickens, rabbits and the family cat. I always had my fingers in the dirt and my head in the clouds — not a bad balance, if I do say so myself.

Once I got to high school, my friends introduced me to this wonderful website called FanFiction.com and I took to it like a fly to poo, reimagining my favourite books with new and exciting characters.

My twenties were consumed with performing in a rock band and this endeavour took me all around Australia and overseas to play some pretty cool shows. I am very grateful for my experiences playing live music as they provided ample opportunities to brush shoulders with just about every walk of life imaginable — which has proven very useful when making informed decisions about book characters.

One of the easiest parts about being an author is having an idea. One of the hardest parts is putting this idea down in the written word in a way that satisfies and for this reason it has taken me years to get my sh** together and finish a manuscript.

It’s now done. I’m officially a book mum who has given birth to my first child. What a time.

And there are many more buns still in the oven…
